Dido on the chase. The sound track reminds me of Bullit at times.

It should, that IS the sound track from Bullit.  Same studio, I guess they just figured why re-invent the wheel.  I have both the movie and the chase scene some where on video, I'll have to pull it out and have a look again, it's been years.

Also the same driver of the Charger in Bullit and the Grandville in 7 Ups.

Yup, Bill Hickman, probably one of the greatest stunt drivers ever in Hollywood.
It's weird seeing him with long hair in the 7-Ups vs. the brush cut in Bullit.

Also a close friend and mentor to James Dean. In an interview with James Dean expert Warren Beath, Hickman is quoted as saying "We were about two or three minutes behind him. I pulled him out of the car, and he was in my arms when he died, his head fell over. I heard the air coming out of his lungs the last time. Didnt sleep for five or six nights after that, just the sound of the air coming out of his lungs."

Car chase in Bullitt is probably the best ever - plus all the nice cars in the background, lots of Pontiacs including a 68 Bonneville wagon and a 64 Bonneville ht. Don't think I ever saw more than a few minutes of the seven ups; what happens to the Schieder character after the roof gets lopped off the Ventura?
