Used my old 65 Pontiac convt in a parade once, and once to drive around some federal politicians at a summer games event. Wouldn't do either again.

As a photo backdrop old cars are very effective.
As a brides ride the 4 door hardtops work best followed by 4 dr sedans. Particularly so if its really old and has the spacious back seat. 2 doors are just too cumbersome getting into and out of with a wedding dress.
Convertibles which on first thought would seem ideal as they give lots of exposure are really not. No bride wants her hair messed on the ride to the church or the ride from the ceremony to the wedding pics - experience talking here.

Should have taken the chains out of the pic - or are they symbolic?

Well  I had to trailer the car thare as it was needing a new carb and was not running, so it was a stationary shoot, I did not realize the chains were visible until after I looked at the pics the next day. I have another pic of her leaning on the front fender with a oh S**t look so the proffesional photographer used the chains to his advantage I think. The pic shown was shot by me as well as a few others. You noticed the chains but did you catch the Blue bird to the left and above the bride, again I did not see that till the next day

When I got married we rode from the church to the reception in a restored Model A. It was the best part of the whole day!

Me too, drove in the Canada Day parade once, took about two hours. Car did fine, but it is too hot and slow for me, I felt sick afterwards and instead of going to the park to join the car show I had to go home and recuperate.

Hey, if I can take the chains out with my meager touch up skills i am sure a pro can!

To the best of my recollection my avatar 39 buick has been used for 6 weddings and a few other memorable romantic occasions. (and one NFB movie) As far as I know 5 of the marriages are still working.  Not a bad percentage.   As for the other memories I certainly do smile when I ride in the back seat on occasion.  Thats the thing about keeping cars a long time.  They help make good memories and they help bring back good memories.

My car was in a wedding 14 years ago. Hopefully it sees at least 1 more as I am still not married...
