Referring to my well researched Engine Nomenclature thread confirms this 327 was named Astro-Flame. I agree that the decal would be the gold & black valve cover ones similar to the 283 on the cherry 66 Laurentian below:
Did any of the decals ever go on straight? I'm going to powder coat my vc's this winter and install the decals, but I sure couldn't bring myself to putting them on the factory correct 12 degree slant...(I think my 66 327 is a Super Econoflame...)

they originally have a decal it was on the air cleaner it said astro flash 327 275 horse power for canadian pontiacs .My originally decal was copied twennty years ago by a calgary member of the pocc calgary chapter .My orginal since has been missed placed in my house records
I always had a feeling that the breather had a decal at one time. I bought valve cover decals for it. They are nice but the script looks kind of, well, off imop.
The residue on my Breather lid is a good clue it may have had a decal on it at one time. Don't you think? I mean this thing is pretty untouched, Perhaps a spray can hear and there, but thats it.
