would prefer a one peice crank! there are alot of stock 400 cranks in 5-600hp small blocks... no issues with breaking... maybe all the bad ones broke in the 70's...

The scat replacement crank is made of a better material and might be cheaper than buying a crank and having it ground.

I agree with using a scat crank... but his builder wants a gm crank...

I have a fresh ground 400 sbc crank (10/10) that I would trade for a scat crank for 5.7 rods.
