Heh, if the Grand Poobah can do it to the Laurentian....

Actually, I do really like the factory caps. They are quite nice and unique. The problem is that the tires on the car right now, although in good shape, are really all season biased towards winter imop. Older Canadian Tire with a criss cross pattern that really make a lot of road noise. So the Rallys wll go on just for fun.

Can I even buy a nice 14" , say 225-235mm WW radial anymore?

These

$228 USD. Kind of steep.

I wonder if Coker of any of the other tire guys will be at fall Hershey? I'm heading down next Friday.

My 69 Canadian Pontiac brochure lists the rally wheels as available across the board and not just 2+2.

Would this not have been the case for previous years?

Hey get some 14" rallys and then put the wheel covers on.  That way everybodys  happy.  You could finance that by selling me the 15 x 8"s   heh heh.

What is the option code for the rally wheels?

That car looks so classy as is, but I'm not fond of 14's myself. Maybe even 16's on a nice machine finish aluminum rim that looks similar to the hubcaps? There has got to be something avaiable on a good website. 427Carl is the man for that.

another note-somewhat related-Brian Marr has two clean original sets of Canadian Pontiac Rally wheel center caps-one set are plain, the other set are Disc Brakes-he's taking them to Waterdown @ $325 per set

 I like this idea

its my plan too

14 inch rallys with redlines then pop on the wire caps or original caps-when I want the Cragar look they go on

Another one that would look good if they would fit is the 15X8 Trans Am Silver Anniversary or Turbo from 79-81. My 2 cents.

I love the 67 GP full wheel discs but those rallies & caps will look great on this car.

I don't know what the option code is- it just shows them on the "Optional Features" page:

Options.jpg

The optional rally wheel illustration shows the wheels on a model other than 2+2 (no fender stripe)

Surprisingly the illustration for the 2+2 shows one in Mayfair Maize with what looks like a rally style hubcap and a Verdoro Green one with the wire wheel covers.

I believe the code may have been ZJ7. Also, if the GP had been ordered with front disc brakes, wouldn't it have been required to have rally wheels?

It doesn't show them in my brochure not saying you they weren't available. But I do know of a '67 Grande wagon that they were suppose to be original on....? This is what I have........

I have to say I was not a fan of those 67 caps on the big cars until I saw the shot at the top of this thread with that big old shiny boat.

And to top it off, I love the rallys and small Pontiac centre caps but you have a unique car there. Maybe you should have a poll on this thread!
