When we were excavating the area for my garage, we dug up many old items from broken porcelain plates to old medicine bottles (sadly, no bag of money though). I found an interesting metal item. I thought it was made of steel and last night I cleaned it up in my bead blast cabinet. It turns out it is made of copper. Here's some photos. Any idea what it is?
The casting lines are visible in the last photo. It looks like a tool of some sort or perhaps it has a plumbing use?
Thoughts? It's interesting what you find on property that has had a house on it for 125 years!
