If no one chimes in, I'll go through my book and give it a shot. In the meantime, tell us about it and/or send pic's...

I think the first step would be to register it at:
http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/index.spark?aBID=118110&p=3&topicID=27761937

Then call up GM and spend $50 to get a build sheet if you want to know a little about the history of your car...original engine, colours, options etc. (The phone # for GM can be provided by a lot of the members here.)

If you aren't already aware, many of the body and interior pieces are reproduced (either Chevelle, or GTO) but grille pieces, tail lights etc are not. You can find them, but it does take some time.

If you're committed, you will have a unique ride. And I know that you will find the members of this forum to be AWESOME in both knowledge and effort.

Can you tell what the original engine was?

Check the fuel line size from the tank, 5/16" or 3/8" and that will narrow it down.

5/16", 283, 3/8", 327 or bigger.

My '66 SD rag was born mist blue as well, with the "bright blue" interior, but with a white roof. There is someone in Ontario who has a similar one that they bought second hand with very, very, low miles. A nice car indeed. I've seen the car while surfing the web, but I'm not sure if they are members here or not. Hopefully some day you will cross paths with him!!!
Welcome, and I look forward to seeing some restoration photo's!

There's one headlight bezel on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/1966-66-PONTIAC-BEAUMONT-LH-GM-HEADLIGHT-GRILL-BEZEL-2_W0QQitemZ230279518071QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item359dba9777&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177

Other than that, three weeks from now I may have a couple if you're still looking then...
