Dashpad For a 1969 Beaumont

Does anyone know if there are Companies In Canada that Rebuild or Recover Dashpads. I know about Just Dashes in California but they are pretty pricey. Or is there anywhere you can buy an aftermarket dashpad ?? I was told it is the same as a 1969 GTO. Thanks Guys.

Yes, wasn't there someone in Calgary who used to advertise they did that?

Seems to me it was in the Old Car Trader, but that is years ago when I used to read it.

If you go to the E Bay Website for replacement Dash Pad covers they show installers all across Canada, I phoned a local one today and I have 2 dashes to do so I will do the first one with one of these caps and see how it turns out. After looking for 3 weeks online and making lots of calls I could not find anyone who makes or can order a Replacement Dashpad a 1969 Beaumont, they say its the same as a 1969 GTO but they stop making repro's at 1968. I will keep everyone posted on how it turns out.

I just Received my Dashpad cap today and it looks pretty good, It is not a perfect fit but I think with a little triming it will work great. I am going to fit it and then take it to a buddy of mine for Paint. I will post the final pictures when I am done. It was about $ 120 US to Buy and have it shipped to Canada. A lot cheaper than Just Dashes, they wanted $850 to $ 1000 to rebuild my dash. My dash was in pretty good shape except for a couple of nasty cracks.

I have used these before, they fit pretty good but I would pay attention to the top front edge where the pad meets the upper dash (steel) I have also used 3M spray adhesive instead of the silicone that is supplied with the cap.

Thanks for the info Ian, The 3M spray product that you used, did you spray just around the edges or did you spray the whole pad?? My pad is complete with no bare spots just a couple nasty cracks bot no bare Metal except fpr thr lower edge.

I spray both sides and let it tack up (you can even put the two pieces together and pull apart once but to difficult to do with a dash cover) then put it in place.I would hold the edges with wide masking tape.

I had a 1969 Beumont and I put one the the dash caps from  dashtop I bought at Nos Reproductions. It fit over top the old one. It fit great. I sold the car about 5 years ago and saw it again this summer the dash pad looked great.

I thought we went through this in a past post here and the 70/71 Lemans Dashes were the same as '69 Beaumonts plus the '72 Lemans fits too but has the Pontiac script over the glovebox area?.

The 1970 and 1971  Lemans had a different dash than the Beaumont, the only one I  could find that matches is a 1969 GTO and nobody makes an aftermarket for either probably because they would have to make the whole dash not just an upper cap or the guage side. I will post pics when I have mounted mine.   Mylo
