I took a greasy old 454 and transformed it into a whole bunch of greasy parts spread all over. After that I was having turkey withdrawal so came into the house to visit the mamma

I think you get the "most productive" award.....

A week ago Sunday bought some tools for the upcoming front end work and put them in the garage. Also took the battery out. This past Saturday put a baby buggy in there and looked longingly at the Trans Am for a minute or two, then left and shut the door to go spend some quality time with my family.
Got the GP oilsprayed at AntiRust oilspray in Burlington. Dripless, $100. Great shop. If you go there, ask for Dave the owner and tell him Mark sent you. Drove on down to Antique Chevrolet in Oakville and picked up a pair of new decklid bumpers. Cost me all of a toonie for both! Love that place.

Put reminder tags on my frame for next spring. Stuff like fill diff with oil, torque control arms to 80 ft lbs when body on frame that kind of stuff. My memory is getting bad and I have to start giving myself reminders. Then went to grand daughters birthday party. Two years old. Poor thing was sick with a cold.
Finished pulling the small block/auto trans combo out of an 82 Regal for a friend.
Put the pressure washer pump away for winter (basement so it won't freeze)
Carried both outboard motors down the stairs to put away for winter as well. My back did NOT thank me for that....
Looked longingly at my Acadian 327 short block on the engine stand envisioning the day volleyball is over for out kids. Hopefully there is a bit of a lull between it and basketball season so I can work on it...

There's still something about "old school" that can't be duplicated though.
I know the new cars are way more efficient, faster etc but to me, muscle will always be 60's.
I totally agree. Two memories that will live with me forever:
1) Being 13 years old, and riding in my brother's '64 Impala. It had a 396 with 13:1 compression, Muncie 4 speed and 4:11 gears. I was terrified of the power! That was the day I became a gearhead for life.
2) A few years later, riding in his '64 Parisienne 409. That car made me fall in love with Canadian Pontiacs (and the reason I am building a '64 Custom Sport today).
New stuff is totally cool, but nothing beats the heart and soul of old iron.
shoveled out the snow... built a new garbage can before real winter started. my cars in the shop for another year cause last year they diden't get to it. even though I prepaid.. ohh the dramma.
Oct 15-09 travelled to Andrew's farm/ auto shop... Dismounted 13 tires cleaned and lubed tire changer came home at 3 and put top coat on walls downstairs room Gonna watch TV..
today one of my friends called me up and said he needs a hand to put some of the project in storage. (sorry not my garage but from one to another)
37 chev. its for sale
67 rag that hes had since he was a teenager. his dad bought it with him to restore. (not for sale). surprised me that it went into storage sitting besides a 54 pontiac hearse that has been mentioned on this site recently.
Assembled my new mercury yard light and measured up everything to make a bracket to mount it on the shed. I don't want to clear snow in the dark like last year. Tractor lights just aren't the same.
