I had it in my head the 74 GTO heads are 48's but you're likely right. I do know that I checked when I got them way back when and they are the unique 74 GTO heads which have the screw in studs. Apparently you can get the same casting number with press in studs.

Replaced the Master Brake Cylinder on the Pontiac (it doesn't have power brakes). Piston Ring had the replacement available and way cheaper than I expected.
I'm not mechanically inclined when it comes to cars, but thought my service manual makes it look easy. Even had the right wrench to loosen the brake line. I bleed the new master cylinder on the bench, and I now understand how it works. Took a bit of time as I also had to make a gasket. But installed the replacement in less than an hour and was back on the road.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Played around with putting a hood scoop on the 63. It bolts on so its standing on the "legs". The hood has a ridge up the middle, not sure how to deal with that since I didn't plan on cutting a hole in the hood. May be able to use a rubber gasket to mount it on but not sure if that pot metal grill will clear the ridge at the front. I plan on painting it black, including the grill. The chrome is pitted.
Aiming for something like this which has the same scoop.

Put the rubber on the wheels today. Spent the whole day messing around with those pesky screws for the center caps. 50 year old parts can be cool but a pain in the ass too!
