After falling, dislocating a shoulder, and having to get someone else to finish it, the tiny metal roof from hell (10' x 12' shed) is done. I'll never attempt a barn-style metal roof ever again!

Pictures are in a reversed order but... pretty rough So I soaked it in vinegar and salt over night... rinsed it... let it oxidize for a few hours so as to get a little patina... followed by a baking soda solution.
You're amassing quite the Canada National Parks collection Geoff.

Worked on my Jeep. Determined the faulty gas gauge (pegged all the time) is caused by either the wiring to the tank or the sending unit. Next step is dropping the tank. Also have pretty much made up my mind to convert the problematic ignition system with a GM HEI unit. Many vendors sell bolt in units for early Jeeps. Saves the hassle of doing what some call "The Nutter Bypass" whereas you eliminate the computer in the factory ignition system. I may even spring for a Weber carb conversion. Also notice the coolant is pretty much water so I'll be flushing that out before winter. The Jeep never saw snow since it was restored and was always in a heated garage. I also picked up the hardtop that came with the Jeep. It needs a side window and some fiberglass repair. No biggie. I also picked up a good set of snow tires on rims that were part of the deal. The tires on the Jeep are like new and fairly aggressive. I might sell the snows and use the funds for the HEI conversion.

Will the "summer" tires be good (sticky, soft) for winter? Do they have the "mountain peak" on them?

Excellent job there Darryl. With the building looking so good you will soon forget the memory of those sore ribs. I was doing a little metal roof trim last week with the same shade of green.
Gee Darryl, you're getting to be quite the expert at building over sized dog houses......
......expecting to have to use it ?
Don't forget to put your name over the door.
Don't give my wife ideas!
Actually, it will house my pet sasquatch.

Started fabricating a front mounted hitch for my Jeep to mount my plow. My "auto dimming" welding helmet didn't auto dim. Ouch.
Bought a standard dark shade (#10) to use in the meantime.

You are ready for the next eclipse.

Making up a new harness for the brother in law's 47 Chev truck. Using a Painless 14 circuit panel, a Ford headlamp switch, dimmer and bulkhead plug.
GM column ignition switch. Diverted the main feed through a relay to the block rather than through the ignition switch. You should have seen the harness it had in it. A butchered 75 Mustang Frankenstein thing that it came with. Truck has a Mustang II front end, so we suppose they'd used everything they could. He now has my HO350/TH400 in place.
Truck is from Saskatchewan. No real rust but rough looking. Should be a nice rod.
I love this stuff, trick is to screw everything down when you're making it up...
