Dragged home another loss soul yesterday. Other than the A33 rear window and M38 thm350 transmission, this was the only option of interest... odd! The numbers matching engine looks to be toast..

You are a kind man and a hero !
If you decide to fix it, I have a front valance for that.
Replaced an upper control arm on our Accord then had the great fun of doing the rear brakes and finding out both rear calipers are seized (I know they are the twist in piston type) so off to Charlottetown (1 hr drive) to CTC as they are the only place selling auto parts in PEI on Sunday. Got jammed $318 ()for the pair, flew home and installed them. I still have front brakes to do. These parts I will order online as they aren't as urgent as the rears were.

We spent a few days in Ottawa this weekend. After not seeing my old 427 4 speed 66 Grande Parisienne for about 29 1/2 years, I got to ride in it AND drive it yesterday! I had never met the current owners, and never knew who they were until I was able to track it down in 2008 (with help from some site members here as well as a Kijiji "wanted" ad). I've kept in touch with them since that time and when my wife and I were visiting their region this weekend, they graciously consented to me coming to visit. Yesterday morning I saw them, this morning we flew home.
By coincidence, one of the owners flew to Winnipeg today, so tonight I drove to Winnipeg and took him for a ride in another 4 speed 66 Pontiac, although only a 283, (my Strato Chief)!

I had a couple hours to snoop around the 70 convertible and pull a few easy things off. Car is amazingly solid as the floor is all there. Has some good windshield trim and I even flashed her up which was the biggest surprise. Sounds pretty good with a nice smooth idle. Sure it hasnt run in 20 years.

We had wicked winds last night -100kmh+ gusts. We lost power at midnight and are still without. It's all good. We have the wood stove going and Connie made our all important morning coffee on it. There's power in town so I got fuel for the generator. Ran the well pump long enough to flush toilets, fill up containers etc. We're told we could be without power until tomorrow morning. Lots of trees down on the island. Tonights dinner will be bacon and "farm fresh" eggs cooked on the wood stove.
