RE: what did you do in your garage / shop and or driveway today ?

That would be great for small jobs Todd. I've read on the reviews that someone actually routed the exhaust from it out of the room, which would really be smart.

Looks like the filter box at least, is 12" high x 16 wide to give an idea of the unit size.

Made up a little paint booth/fume hood using a amazon box, a vacuum attachment and a shopvac. Did a few small parts. Turned out ok.

Works slick. The vacuum has a bag inside to capture the paint, and the exhaust is plumbed to the outside. Really keeps the overspray and fumes down. But I still wear a 3M respirator with new cartridges.

No explosion so far...Just a small fire.

Hmmm.... I was wondering how I was going to go about painting my truck steering column so you just provided a solution to my dilemma....

I'm surprised at how well it worked Jake. There was still fumes in the shed, but no overspray dust of any note.

If you do this, try to put some filter media in front of the vacuum tool. It'll get clogged up pretty quick if you use it for any length of time.

In the middle of converting my detached garage into an office for my wife's real estate business. It was an easy trade, I said to use the garage and I'll build a new shop in the spring. Old garage 750 square feet, new garage 1800 square feet.
Also went and visited my neighbour today who has a bunch of stuff. 66 Caprice 396 4 speed, 77 L-82 4 speed Vette with 5000 miles, 66 427 4 speed Vette, 67 427-435 hp Tri power 4 speed Vette coupe- all numbers matching, 67 427-435 hp 4 speed roadster Tri power Vette- all numbers matching, 69 GTO, 400-400auto. Couple more things in the other shop too. Has so many muncies that he uses cases for door stops

Finished up the big clutch/flywheel conversion on my car. Also finished up the exhaust with the X pipe removed. I have never liked the "mellow" sound of the X pipe and removed it in hopes of getting back that "crisp" 60's musclecar sound. Mission accomplished. I don't ever want another X pipe. Besides being a pain when I was working under the car, it totally changed the exhaust note. The best way I could put it was a I just did a reverse castration on the sound of my car!

I'll leave the X pipes for you guys wanting maximum horsepower. I'm not one of those guys. I want my car to be fun to drive and the correct exhaust note is important to me!

I ordered pretty much a complete interior kit for the Beaumont from Legendary in Rodchester NY. 6-8 weeks also. They had a 2 day 15% off and 1/2 price shipping sale. Very happy with price. Full charge to credit card soon as you place order

They must all order from same supplier as I called "Bob's Impala" in Arizona & sales guy there told me right up front 6 to 8 weeks for covers ??? That's better than not telling you & just take your order!!!

Wow. I've heard about the heater core fix and having to take the fender off (to get at those hard to reach nuts), but not the seat and glove box!

I have my interior out, so I should do mine before re-installation.

Just the inner panel for fender, makes it easy to get at 2 bolts that hold outer heater box off, taking seat out makes it much easier to lay on floor & G/box has to come out to remove the inner box off fire wall!

How I get around it, there is probably a way to do it on the phone,

  • Send the image from your phone to your desktop email.
  • Pick it up on your email, "open" it and "save as" to a file on your desktop.
  • Open the image on file in whatever image program windows supplies. Rotate it, (crop, adjust colour, etc), then "save as" with a new name (this most important).

If you use the same unique image number that comes with it, it'll always remain as taken.

  • Use the supplied site Attach images program as usual...

 Nice!  Love the colour.

FWIW, I never knew those stripes were painted on - always assumed they were vinyl stickers.

Keep up the good work!
