Mahone Bay, NS Still not old enough to need an automatic
Washed the G8, washed the 97 Silverado, washed the 94 Impala, and of course our married daughter just happened to show up with her dirty car while I was doing all this so of course I washed it too..... What a beautiful day it was in Manitoba today.
Those days are going to end soon, the pressure washer will go to the basement for the winter.
Oh, and put the new serpentine belt on the Impala, no more crickets chirping under the hood!

But I had to. An old friend came home today. It's been living in Alberta under the care of my nephew since about 2011 but he wasn't using it any more and of all the cars I've ever owned and sold, this one ranks #2 on the list of regrets.
This isn't the one I swapped the 6 speed into, that was another SS I owned at the same time as this one. This one is in far superior condition and has way less miles on it.
And since I have this Impala, every "toy" needs to have a parts car, right?
Yes, 77 to 96 GM made very little change in floor pans, chassis etc. They got a lot of mileage out of that platform and did a great job with it to boot!

I pulled the "Green Couch" off the road and plated the beater 96 Accord for winter. I cleaned and applied a coat of Mothers Brazilian Carnuba Wax before putting her away until spring. I have to say this Park Avenue is a very comfortable car to drive and hope to keep it for a few years. You'll also notice in the background I have about 50% of the century old maple that fell cut up.
Had a 93 GMC half ton brought to the shop, will start but then shuts off won't run. Kind of a confusing one as sometimes when it shuts off, it blows air back through the throttlebody. After a little deciphering, this is what I found. (removing the oxygen sensor from the manifold allowed it run.)
Micky, Minny and friends were extremely hard at work..... That bottle is completely plugged. Could not get it to clear at all and started to split at the seam.
