I do like how they look, and I've tried using re-using old original towers, and they just wouldn't work very well. Are they intended as single use only?
i was told single use
Interesting. I just picked up a bunch of used ones a couple of weeks ago and hope to put them on my car this winter. Now I'm curious.
I can't see why they can't be reused though.

Remember, if you get a leak like I had, just clean and scuff it up with scotchbrite roughening it up a bit. Too smooth and it has trouble sealing for some reason.

Over the past two weeks I've put several cars in winter storage. I am currently cleaning out the garages at my house so I can prep parts for the next stage of my 68 Impala SS 427 project, which begins in December. And I have gathered all the parts to begin a few drivability upgrades to my 55 Bel Air, mainly involving installation of power front disc brakes and integral power steering. I'm keeping the original 265 V8 and cast iron powerglide. I might change that later but only if I find a good 327/300 hp small block from 62-68, otherwise it will stay as is.
My trusty 96 Accord winter car sorely needed new headlights. I've been putting it off for a while but they are at the point where no amount of polishing is going to save them (and I found out later some of the mounting brackets were busted). I managed to get the last drivers side and a passenger side lens assembly from Amazon and since it was 20c here today I decided to take the 30 minutes to install them. Well as you know with cars things often take longer than planned.
Here's the new lense compared to the 26 year old original:
The new lense included the side marker and the bulbs. Not bad for $80 each with delivery
When I replaced the lense on my Buick all that was required was removal of the top bolts and the lense lifted easily out. Not on this car.
They weren't budging after removing the top bolts. A quick check of my shop manual revealed the worse: "1- Remove Bumper"
So, not only did the bumper cover have to be removed to install these but the bumper bar as well.
I've done Low beam in our 16 Civic (daughters now) and H/L (single bulb) in the 15 Explorer with these, and for the low price, are amazing. No BS, they exceeded my expectations. Good pattern too.
I've had them in the explorer for 2 years, and they're still going strong. Little fact, they get brighter after a few months of use.

I know, I regularly use that "China" thing, but here's the point, these LED bulbs, with integral fan, transformer and wired driver were actually less than the Sylvania OEM Halogens pack. How?
Sure, They've gone up ten bucks since I bought them. But still.
PSA.
Try these. But always keep a halogen in the glovebox if you need one.

Sad day at the shop yesterday as I sold my "ole blue fellah" after 20 years together. Wasnt using him that much and decided it was time. I was the second owner. He will now reside near Forest Mills, Ont.

I actually bought a used Rotary, had it sand blasted and painted to match the cabinets in my garage (black & grey) its a 14,000lb lift that I had a Precision Hydraulics (Halifax) fine tune. They ended up inspecting and certifying it just for kicks. I could do alignments on it if I wanted! VERY happy with it. Its heavy duty and well built. My ceilings are 11foot 6 to the peak of the scissor trusses. Crappy thing about my area is Im only allowed 15 to the peak of the roof, hence the inside ceiling height. Id never get a truck under it.
