Sat and stared at this empty space. Kept thinking "What would look good there?". I had to think back and finally figured out, I have not had a spare spot in the garage since getting a driver's license in 1974... Always more vehicles than garage spaces since that day. When we got married in 1987 it was 5 vehicles and a 24 X 26 garage.

I don't allow Fords to park in my garage. There's a Honda here right now but I made it park outside!

Had to take Poncho the cat to an emergency visit to the Vet this morning. Hadn't eaten or drank or pooped in 3 days. He'd growl if you tried to pick him up. We found one opening at a Vet in Charlottetown (11:15 and we called at 10:30). It's normally an hour drive. Someone made it on time. The stress of the car ride released a blocked up poop that was as hard as concrete. Poncho is now 16 and has bad hips. It seems if hit hips act up (damp weather which we have had a lot of) he doesn't want to eat or drink and then we get a snowball effect of consitpation etc etc. So, after a checkup he was sent home with laxatives. He's now hiding under the bed..

Glad it worked out, so to speak!   Hiding under the bed sounds like a good start for the year. I wonder if there's room for me under ours.

If you had no internet access under there at least you wouldn't get yourself in trouble buying more old cars and parts.

Poncho seems better tonight. He had a bit of food and is resting in his favorite bean bag

I snapped this photo a few days ago of good ol' Ponch in his bean bag next to his pal.

Trying out my new welding helmet, Have a cracked inner fender that needed some attention. Not much of a welder yet so I have a good grinder, LOL.
new helmet works nice compared to the old style one. Need to take some welding lessons I think. Wire feed with gas.

Practice on some scrap pieces. I'm no expert either but I also have wire with gas and with some practice you can make stuff look pretty nice. My biggest mistakes at the start were not enough heat and not enough circular motions with the gun.

What welder do you have Rick? Can stop by for a short course if you want. Just think of frying bacon...the sizzle when you weld. After 30 years of selling welder I finally bought a new one last week !! My old one was a rental from the 90's!!!! Yes.....I'm cheap......biggrin

I enjoy welding. So much so I wish I had gotten a welding ticket years ago and started a fab shop.

It's only a 100 machine from Snap on, Blue point, 2 button for heat and dial for wire feed.
I'm getting there but I have a tendency to weld for too long and burn thru then end up chasing holes.
Metal is pretty thin.

My wife won't want to send me to the freezer to find stuff now. I'll just end up staring at this auto wrecking picture and forget why she sent me there....

Thanks again Dave!

Thanks for the video, watched for a while and that's what I was doing except trying to do too much at once, once I
just did the shorter tacks it worked out ok.

Out for a little rip today. The 65 was filthy on top from sitting in the carport (probably the dustiest spot you'll ever find actually). So a quick dash with the wand on wax and she's good. I rarely ever wet the car, but today... what the heck.

It was safe to go out owing to all the rain we've had, but It's still amazing to me I can still be out on the 6th of January. I did actually see two old 70's cars out today, but they were rough looking like mine. The Queens always stay tucked away and warm don't they.

Sorry Carl. It would have looked good. Even with a childish photoshop.
