Shot across the river as we call it here to UPS to pick up another pair of rust free 66 B body doors. You guy at the border told me I was over what was allowed but he let me go. Now if I can only find some fenders. US and Canadian fenders not the same so I have to get in Canada

Picking away at parts for the 57. Turned a pair of crusty rims and tires into 5footers. Added tubes to insure inflation.

You're lucky Randy. Our mailbox gets hit about 5 times a season.

The worst was in 2015. Had to use my Jeep to straighten the pole!

I installed a new whole home water filter yesterday as my old one was a real pain to replace the filter cartridge.

Got it installed and checked for leaks. It was all good. Today I'm in the basement installing a GFI outlet and notice water on the top plate of the filter unit. It appears to be coming from the corner of the plate and also leaks when I turn the knob to off.

It's a rainfresh and I emailed the company asking about a fix as I really don't feel like going through the hassle of removing it and installing a new one. furiousfurious

Nice way to derail my day.

Washing machine drain hose was clogged.

Quick fix,

Then this,

The dryer.

003a.jpg

I think this has been simmering for a while.

005a.jpg

Bought a new plug but the 10 year old dryer did not have an access door for the cable.

Just a cast rubber grommet in the tin back.

To remove the back, the top had to come off.

To remove the top, part of the front had to come off.

Looks like the melt is from the inside of the plug.

Did you sense a burning smell Randy, or was it just that you happend to be working on the washer beside and saw it?

Looks like that might have been close to having a fire.

Never smelled anything.

The only reason I was there was the clog in the washing machine.

Dryer seemed to be working fine.

I will continue to watch the new plug in case the draw from the dryer is causing this.
