There was a guy in my home town back in the '70's had N50's on every corner, front & back, on a mid-60's Acadian. Only saw it a couple times, he didn't run them for long... I had pictures but no idea where they'd be. It was an odd looking beast.
The only reason I was there was the clog in the washing machine.
Dryer seemed to be working fine.
I will continue to watch the new plug in case the draw from the dryer is causing this.
Might be a good time to relocate that blue cord hanging off the fire extinguisher. You wont need time to figure out how to untangle it if the need arises.
The carnage continues in my woods. We've had several wind events since Hurricane Fiona and I'm still losing trees. I took a walk through one area this afternoon. These photos don't really show the scope of it. It's kind of heartbreaking.
On the bright side I'll have a ton of firewood and I have one of those "Alaskan Sawmills" and a new 20" Chainsaw that we hope to use to turn a bunch of these downed spruce trees into lumber.
The projects I've been working on over the past three years since Covid erupted, unfortunately have taken months, not days or weeks, to complete. The list includes three house renovations back to back, as well as a new construction.
My 68 Impala ss427 project is back on the rails following the unfortunate passing, late in 2021, of the man who did most of the body repair and paint. Next steps are the rewiring and the convertible top. At one point I considered ditching this project and buying another similar car, which of course I didn't do. At this point I have more than double into the car than I could purchase an excellent Z03/Z24 car for in today's market. The things we do for our hobbies!
My current project, which began in December, is building a proper storage building for my cars and parts. I've been waiting to do this for years. Almost there!
Sometimes I feel like I'm spending all of my time preparing for my hobby without ever actually having the time to experience it. I used to think I'd have time in retirement to get to everything I wanted to do, but it's not working out that way. Too many projects I suppose. Or maybe I'm less efficient than I used to be. Or maybe just lazy!
I spent time time this morning in my unheated garage trying to determine what happened to my Honda. I pulled the valve cover and upper timing belt cover. The belt did not break and actually looks about the same as it did 3 years ago when I checked it.
What I did find was the camshaft pulley bolt loose. I managed to get my phone between the pulley and apron to get a photo and it appears either there's a key on the camshaft or on the pulley that disintigrated. By then my hands were frozen so I came in to warm up and ponder my next step. I'm hoping maybe I could fish out the damaged key and insert a new one without having to tear things down further. Even if I can get this fixed I may still have bent valves. Such a shame as this motor was in excellent shape and never burnt a drop of oil. I don't know if I want to tackle pulling the head to repair it.

yep I hear you, too many projects and its time to thin the heard. One Beaumont done another just about.Two B bodys now in the shop and when they are done 2 more then thats it. shortly I will put up all the Beaumont project cars for sale. they can be someone elses dream cars
Just a FYI about mail boxes getting hit-since I worked 33 years in the roads dept and drove tandem plows with a front plow-side wing plus salter unit-it is not always the drivers fault.Heavy slushy snow coming off the plow/wing can destroy mailboxes-especially those nice green plastic ones.By federal law the mailbox is suppose to be mounted on a break away post(cedar posts are best)as well it is the home owners responsibility to clear snow around the mailbox and even fix it if it gets damaged by a plow(doesn't matter how many times it gets hit-federal law states homeowners responsibility)-a lot of municipalities/townships just replace them as a goodwill thing-but many are rusty and hanging on by a thread-a little bit of slush will knock it off.There are alot of idiots who push their snow onto the road(Not acceptable under the -Highway traffic Act-you can be fined)-I had one guy who would park his car on the road sideways-blocking a lane of traffic so his driveway wouldn't get snowed in(I am talking about out in the country)-I drove around it many times-then I pushed all the snow towards his mailbox-thats how the term "Airmail"came to be-lol!!!

I found the likely replacement for the Honda if it turns out to have damaged valves: Another Park Ave. This one's a 92 and an Ultra (supercharged). It was a one owner Ontario car that the daughter of that owner (who lives in NB) inherited last year.
It has 180k, never seen a winter and is loaded including leather. It was saftied in Ontario before being shipped east. The price is less than 4 months payments on a new Corolla
Yes. My 94 Park Ave is a great car. I dare say this generation was the best (92-96) with the ultimate being a 96 as it had the Gen II 3.8 Supercharged (and OBD II)
Sent the Honda down the road to a new owner with more ambition than me (he bought it as a project for his 16 year old son - too bad old cars like Beaumonts aren't $1200 anymore) and spent this sunny day down by the river behind my house
watching the 12 (yes twelve) bald eagles who have decided to take up residency in the area.
The crows aren't too impressed and I assume neither were the two geese who it seems became victims of an eagle or two (all that remains are a few feathers).
well that took a while to do but after 7 long years i actually have a 53 pontiac grill! And the emblem i got of Bernie was correct which made me very happy,now to figure out what to do with the fender drop bars,first time ever seeing car with a grill!
Looking sweet Tim! Bit more heat on them welds..less grinding.... Got some more colour on the c10 and also cleaned up some bolts! Giunness book of world records...100 bolts and didn't spit 1 across the shop!!
