63 Catalina Muscle

As photoed at Hershey. Sitting high on the front and low on the back. Lightweight and muscle. What a combination.
Had to wait almost 10 minutes for the crowd to thin in order to take the 3/4 view pic.
It was loud driving onto the judging/show field and boy did it ever attract a crowd.

I overheard the owner of the 63 talking to another fellow that it was a fresh restoration, and that he couldn't bring himself to re-torque the heads for fear that he'd mess up the paint on the headbolts.

The field was incredible wasn't it. I left with a sore eyes.

If he isn't going to drive it might as well put it in a museum. That sure would be a waist. If it's already been restored once it can be done again

There was a good crowd around this one. After waiting patiently for the crowd to thin a bit I had to start asking people to step back so that myself and a couple others could photo it.
The judging/show field is always incredible. Every make and model imaginable and a few we've never even heard of. Including a few concept cars. It tends to become overwelming after a few rows. Thats when o'load kicks in and its hard to remember them all. That's what cameras are for. We can revisit them again later.
Weather this year was right in between. Not wet but not clear and warm. Weather is usually the determining factor in whether all the cars come out. ( yes, some trailer queens don't always make it out of the enclosed trailer ).
Always a good show and worth the trip.

Very nice. As the saying goes," If your not going to drive 'em, might as well collect clocks"
