I guess I need to broaden my horizons! Cars in those years just have never done it for me.

Of course, I've never ever thought beer tastes good either...

I'm w/ the get it running and keep it original crowd..
There's lots of lesser rigs to butcher and it's lasted this long without someone killing so I wouldn't have the heart to hurt it..

i had a great uncle offer me a Model T Doctor's coupe. I had to turn him down because i would have hot rodded the thing. As much as i like to modify and play with them i won't harm a survivor.

I can appreciate any fine old car, regardless of who made it (that's why I have both a Pontiac and a Dodge in my garage). Thanks to my Dodge I met a fellow who is an avid Dodge (with a bit of Plymouth) collector. I had an opportunity to see some of his cars last night and paid a visit to his garage. Here's what I saw:

Here's a cool 1954 Dodge Coronet Suburban (2 door wagon). This one is powered by a 241 C.I Hemi:

I forget the year of this one- I believe it's a 37 Dodge Brothers Pickup awaiting a full restoration. Excuse the guy in the way:

A beautiful concourse restored 37 Plymouth Businessmans Coupe. I saw it at a cruise night this summer and didn't know it belonged to this fellow. This car was built in Windsor and is therefore considered by some to be a "Plodge" as it's a Plymouth body on a Dodge Chassis. GM wasn't the only company to do such things in Canada.
There wasn't much room to get a good shot:

I love the hood ornament:

My favorite was this beautiful 1919 Dodge Brothers Touring Car. These cars cost 4 times that of a Model T and I was amazed at the many featuers.

102_0203.jpg

Originally from North Bay, this car has also had a full concourse restoration however the top and seat upholstery are original!

Even the wheels are a work of art:

102_0187.jpg

How about this for brakes! They look easy enough to adjust!

102_0189.jpg

Fuel gauge: Unlike the Model T, you don't have to use a stick to check your fuel level:
102_0191.jpg

Here's a shot of the combination starter which also is the generator. These cars had 12 volt systems- again way ahead of their time.
102_0184.jpg

Here's a shot of the other side of the engine showing the shaft that drives the water pump and the distributor. Note the unique coil. The engine ran as good as it looked.

It's amazing what you find so close to home. This fellow lives about 15 minutes away!

Great shots Todd you got it right all old cars are great in there own way. Some are ever so ugly or odd looking you just have to fall in love with them.
