From Saskatchewan.  Looks like a "barn find".   Online photo of engine looks like a small block. Could be worth looking into for $4500.00.

Just looking at the intake, what was the last year for the oil fill tube in the intake ? I thought 69 did not have it.

As far as I have researched over the years ,........68 was the last year for the oil filler tube.

Good observation!! You gotta get up pretty early in the morning to pull one over on the Canadian Poncho forum details team! smile

Would be nice to see the rest of the car.  You know how it is ,.(usually) ,.... the seller takes the shot of the best angle and chooses not to show the rust or the back bumper that was only used to pull out tree stumps on Sundays. smile.gif

Who knows,.. anything reasonably "rust free" in a 2 door is about 5K starting price (providing all the original parts are there).

What was the horsepower rating on the 350 small block in a '69 Beaumont?

Tuff to look at that Blue beast when you can buy this for 14 K. You couldn't build that car for the price of this one.

There was a 255 hp and a 300 hp 350.   But it could be a 307 also.  Also not sure if its a hardtop or two door sedan. Kinda vaige  with out a side shot.

Looks to be the passenger side valve cover from a 69. 69 cover, 68 intake maybe? Or did 68 have a vent tube in the right valve cover?

You're absolutely right!  It's easy to drop $14k just into the body and paint nowadays.

I was at a few car shows this summer.  There are many guys entering "as is" cars with primer or old cracking bodywork because it's unaffordable to have the car finished.  (and we're not talking about rat rods here!)

Actually ,.. most restored cars out here right now that are for sale,   are at a really good price.  You can take your pick from very nice restored 50's and 60's cars right now for $9-15,000.00.  It's impossible to start a resto for that!

But,. of course you'd miss all the fun of putting thousands of hours and sweat into it ,... and firing it up for the first time! Or taking it out and putting it through the gears as the RPM swings to 6500!

Really ,.. if you've got the bucks ,... buy one that is already done!  The guy that you're buying it from will be taking kick in the bank account for what he's got in it.   Then YOU have the most fun ,... driving it!

I'm not trying to remove the value from cars like this but if you want a car buy it done. If I could find the 65 SD Beaumont SD 4spd car already done for a good price I would buy it too. I Have not found one yet. Hint!!!

9-15 for nicely restored ? they are getting lighter in Ontario but not that light yet-I'm surprised to hear 25-30k cars have dropped that much out west already
