I knew that Speed had dropped it; is SUN TV local in Ontario? I watched snippets on the internet. Why is Tom not on the show anymore, does anyone know?

Michelle at the track
Michelle Jobin, new co-host of Dream Car Garage,
at Cayuga International Speedway with the shows
Cuda project car and a 2010 Camaro SS.

By GLEN WOOD****

Earlier this year fans of Dream Car Garage were justifiably upset when the made-in-Canada show was dropped by SPEEDtv after nearly a decade.
Were not sure what SPEED was looking for, says Adrian Chadwick, VP of marketing for Westward Wind Productions. Last year we went to high definition and really pulled out all the stops with some great episodes that included a trip to the Ferrari factory.
There arent a lot of shows like ours with a magazine format and maybe we didnt fit with SPEEDs idea of all NASCAR, all the time.
But take heart, all you Dreamers: the show has been picked up by SUN.TV and MEN.TV and will be coming at you with a new season of fresh episodes starting in mid-September.
However, one of the garages familiar faces will be missing. Tom Hnatiw, one of the original hosts, has left to pursue other projects and has been replaced by Michelle Jobin.
TV these days cant get enough young, pretty female faces especially on shows aimed at a predominantly male audience. And Michelle certainly fills the bill (and other things).
Shell be familiar to many viewers as one of the weather specialists on both Global and the Weather Network, and for hosting the cooking show, Toronto Dining, on Rogers.
Returning to his role as co-host is Peter Klutt, Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) driver and president of Legendary Motorcars in Halton Hills, Ont. With his team of craftsmen and a state-of-the-art restoration and sales facility, hes the guy to see when you want to put a dream car in your own garage.
Klutts restoration shop makes possible one of the shows most popular features the building of one very special car each season.

I like to look at young attractive females as much as most guys do, but I find that they don't often lend much 'real' car knowledge to shows. Reading from a script ain't the same.

Sure, the female body is entertaining, but so is real designer/builder/restorer/driver experience. You can find the former most anywhere on the TV dial. The latter is getting rarer all the time.

Does every freakin' program have to "go Hollywood"?
confuse

I agree Bob. Even Old Autos TV has bimbo's trying to talk cars, doesn't work to well.
There is no shortage of fine looking women to gaze at on tv. Can't we have a informative, well spoken car show without T&A?

If check out the "model Bimbo's" on Old Autos Tv you'll see they are Rick Walker's Daughters?? [just guessing by the last name in credit's] They have no knowlege of cars, no personality, & all they know, is the "standard" poses while trying to do interview, sure makes the show look "hokey" or Canadian take your pick?? Pete

I'm not a fan of the show, not informative IMOP, just fluff and no depth.

Where do you find "Old Autos TV"? I've never seen it; doesn't appear to be in my Rogers cable package.

Does Rogers provide "A" Channel where you live, or CITY-TV?

I'll have to look but I think we have access to CITY TV. I don't watch much TV; hardly ever look at Speed anymore as they have very few programs that interest me.

I stopped watching the "Speed" shows like Dream Car Garage several years ago. Got really tired of the half hour commericals of what ever they were selling.
Started watching the Power Block on Spike. Yes, Courtney Hansen is on the show but at least she has some understanding of cars.

I like the buildups in Horsepower TV and the construciton in the other three shows. Do learn something there.

Gearz with Stacey David is the only one worth watching on Speed.
