Window WHAT??????

Well guys as u know I am in the middle of a colour change on my 61 Poncho and so far so good, even the wife hasn't kicked me out yet lol. Anyway to best describe my problem is that I took of the door panels and I've got a little problem. I don't know what this part is called but hoping some one on this site does. The windows sit in this chrome plated channel and is fastened to the window assembly with 2 phillip screws. Is the window glued in this channel or pressed in or other, how do u get it apart without breaking the window as these channels are rusted and now would be a good time to change them, and where could u orderr them from. Thanks guys Brent

The glass is is pressed into a rubber type window channel liner. All you do is cut the glass out of the channel with an exato knife or sharp pocket knife. You should't do any damage to the glass. These channels may not be repoped. Once you get it out and on the work bench you will see that it won't be too hard to make them.
