As for the convertible, I'd say he's looking for at least $5,000.  Hard to judge without seeing.  Steve, you go to Ottawa all the time don't you?  Road trip?

Heres my project 1968 Parisienne 2dr hard top. Its on 22" wire wheels. Its flat black paint job with custom red and white pin stripping. Real head turner, people aproach me everywhere to compliment it. Has original 327 v8 runs good, but burns a little oil on start up. Turbo 400 trans, with brand new dual exaust. Needs new tires but is driveable. Also have stock wheels and hubcaps. Awesome looking car, just needs a new owner to cruise this bad boy. Interior is in great condition, 1 small tear and needs rear deck redone

I agree, lose the 22s immediately!  The thing is, you could probably sell them to some kid and make back a considerable portion of the car's purchase price. nod.gif

I think the Green 70' HT would make a fantastic starting point for someone sitting on the sidelines without a classic CP. I would be all over it if just breaking in to the hobby... It only has 60K miles on it! Someone make offer on it!!!

Really nice car.  Looks like the skirts were an after thought.
If the undercarriage is "sound",..  asking price is very reasonable.  Myself being from Manitoba ,.. we cringe when we see a car listed from Ontario.  Out here we got used to seeing 5-8 year old vehicles brought in from out east ,. with pails of pondo troweled into the body.  That Ontario salt is killer!  (Although I'm sure it's no secret to anyone living out east. )   We used to put eastern cars up on the hoist and search for the remnants of what was once a frame.   It's a bonus that Manitoba never used the copious amounts of salt like in Ontario.
You may want to bring out the fridge magnet to search for bondo.
If the the body and frame check out ,.. good deal.

I e-mailed him last Sunday. Seems like a decent enough car and I would be interested in buying it  myself if i had one or two of my current fleet gone. That's not happening right now and I'm out of car cash and room.furious  Let us know how it turns out Hillar.

Well in that case it's Deville or Fleetwood, we'd have room for 3 more too.

Earl, I emailed him a couple of days ago and haven't heard back yet.  How long did it take for him to get back to you?  Can you PM me his email address from the return email.  I just replied to the Kijiji ad, maybe it didn't work? confused.gif

Usually the back seat has either a folding bicycle, boxes of 30 year old car magazines, several special Quadrajets, a straw hat, folding lawn chairs.....

Yes, Hillar has pioneered the use of a bicycle for getting to every corner of every swap meet as efficiently as possible.
