whats the chance of 2 identical white sedan deliveries going from Edmonton to  Florida???   I think they are the same car hmm I was just wondering about one quoting V8 and the other 6cyl

Carl, I think you are right. Really there is no way that two of these exist with the identical story. The description about the V8 is just wrong I suspect. No question there is a pristine 261 under that hood.

maybe its a ghost (white?)story!   lol

Wow! That thing is outa sight! Super rare to begin with. The feature car (truck?) is so nice, right down to the 261. Like I was trying to say, outstanding!

It looks like the steering wheel, door panels and seat upholstery are shared with a Chevrolet 150 series.

I had been looking for a 1958 Pontiac sedan delivery since 1973 (before I was old enough to drive). I finally saw one at the Spring Barrie Automotive Flea Market around 1999. It was black (originally dark gray) and was built with a 283 3-speed. It was a little rough and had been hit on the right. The GM docs posted on the windshield said it was one of 48 made. It was also carrying a sign the said "Not for sale".

Years later I saw another 1958 Pathfinder Sedan Deliver at Barrie in 2005. It was red with a white 2-tone in the side spear. It was for sale; the sign said "$10,500 obo" and "1 of 6 left". On the windshield was written "$8500 firm". Too bad I didn't have the money or the space (I said the same thing again about the gold 1969 Pontiac 2+2 427 4-speed for sale in Selkirk in 2007).

I am afraid to say that these two vehicles are one and the same. I believe the car is being at the Amelia Island Concours. Great to see the nice comments on this rare car.

I must apoligize for causing confusion (as usual) evileye   After seeing our feature car, I surfed the net, and found, what I thought was a uncanny duplicate of it,   and a close story smile    The description of the V8 and overdrive , versus the 261 3 speed was interesting...  What also through me off, was the mirrors..  "Our feature SD" has mirrors on the doors, and the "other" car had them on the fenders?.. lol    and now one of our memebers is in Florida, hoping to see the "other car"

I am sorry  I am sorry    I do love the SD  Its so cool.......

To CDN GM fan, my brother mentioned to me that he know where there is a 58 pontiac delivery but "it's pretty rough"

Maybe we should check it out?  43 made?

I'm also pretty sure I saw one of those at  boneyard in Peace River Alberta called Hilltop Auto Wreckers about 20 years ago.  Might be worth a call.

There were 449 1958 Pontiac SDs and 943 Chevrolet SDs. I have a figure of 682 1957 Pontiac SDs.
