Tempest LeMans GTO not Pontiacs?

I found this book while surfing the web. You will notice that nowhere does it say Pontiac. confuse I'm confused.

For over a year we have seen similar books posted on here that say Acadian or Beaumont and no words Pontiac.

Does this mean Tempest LeMans and GTO are not Pontiacs? confuse

The cars say Pontiac on them though. No disputing that.

And it seems to me that the literature says Pontiac as well.

It is a generally understood convention that back then Pontiac meant a full sized B Body car, that's why. Referring to them by model names was a way to differentiate them from the big cars.
