Any body know what this is ?

Was at the wreckers today and noticed this four door 69-72 Olds cutlas .Not sure what year, the cowl tag was gone.  This is behind the back seat. Not sure what it is.  Noticed it because it was shiny smile.gif

It has to do with the emissions stuff. My Lemans has it as well. There are 3 lines from the gas tank that leas to it, then one runs to the charcoal canister..... I think the name has EEG or something in it. I will look it up shortly here.............

yup; has to do with emissions. Not sure of purpose but could check with one of my Cutlass buddies. Showed up in the 71 or 72 cars. Trunk floor between the wheel wells was stamped to provide a space for the channel.

Thanks guys, had never seen one before. Just seams like an odd spot to have gas vapours behind the back seat.

Yes, sort of a gas tank vent I believe, and yes, why would you want it close to the seat........?
