I've getting some conflicting information when looking for a used windshield for my 64 Parisienne. Some say a windshield from a 65 will work, other's say it won't. One guy said a 64 Impala windshield will work, another said one from a 64 Oldsmobile will as well.
One guy even told me the Safari wagon has a unique windshield and nothing else will work. I know the glass from a 64 Laurentian I had was a perfect match, but he still argued with me.
Time to ask the experts.
Anyone know what years of Pontiac or GM models have a compatible windshield for a 1964 Parisienne Safari wagon?
Glass from 63-64 B body Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick and Olds wagons will fit your application, but not 65 up. It's possible/likely that the 4 door sedan glass is the same as the wagon glass because both bodystyles have the higher roof than the hardtop. But best to verify this by measurement, part number or with the glass supplier. I'll be really surprised if they are not the same. I have both sedan and wagon windshields but i can't check them now as I don't have access because they are in offsite storage.
Check out these glass numbers from the Candian Pontiac master parts cat. The numbers don't always tell the entire story, but they will at least give you an exact interchange between CP's.
Like others suggest, I think you'll need focus on getting replacement glass from a HT or wagon. BOP, CP and Chev.
