would sell mine for the right cash, it's a 1970 acadian black on black m21, 4- speed car with a 12 bolt 3:55, ss wheels 396 e-mail if interested and i'll send pic's (mechanik@mnsi.net)
is Gary Young from Welland a previous owner in the history package ?
I was just answering the add---Never said it was an original 396 car, you should know that! sounds like you built the car not Gary Young. sounds like you hate the guy, the car or maybe the fact it's not parked in your garage, if you have one. have a nice day. you sound like some one that can't enjoy Life but is always there to comment on every thing.

Did I miss something here? I didn't see anywhere that anyone commented rudely regarding your reply???

"His words"
I guess all of this is a long winded way of saying life can be short and brutally unfair, so make sure you get out and enjoy it while you can and don't let stupid things and silly arguments get in the way of that. Hillar (Astro Jet) "

I just heard black big block Acadian and remember Gary sold a nice one at the RM sale a few years ago. Maybe its it, maybe its not
Gentleman replied to my question about engine.......
Car was restored, finished and sold at auction in april 2006 this a v/8 car 71427 on cowl tag 7-pontiac 1427 v8 2 dr coupe. the 396 is from a 1966 chevelle ss i'am told but havent run the engine numbers. i will get them if you want- just have to go where car is stored. everything is correct, strg column, dash pedals etc.
Mr Radke may have just been having a bad day and maybe mistook a response to his post. Its NOT the end of the world and I would not wish to discourage him from posting in the future. Maybe we should concentrate on whether there were any Acadians with a 396. I was purchasing cars at that time, hipos only, and cannot ever remember seeing one, not that they didn't exist. Well, what say you.
Obviously a BB Acadian making the scene would include a rumble here!. Welcome Radke!. Built or not, very cool car!!! I've always hoped for one too but only have seen SB Acadians.. If any were factory built they'd be 68-70, not 71 or later..

No it's not a COPO car. The Knafel Acadian ran in the NASCAR Ultra/Stock drag racing class where the rules stated that the car and engine had to be of the same make. Knafel decided to go with the Canadian Acadian so they could run a very competitive 427 engine and still be considered a Pontiac. Because the Acadian used a Chevy drivetrain, this was considered legal by NASCAR. I don't believe NHRA ever did recognize any of the Canadian Pontiacs. The photo below is from a 1967 points meet at Suffolk Raceway and the Chevy wagon in the far lane is Ted Hartman's "Bad Banana".
