New TA's ordered...

Looks like Tire Rack has many of their BF Goodrich TA's on sale.  Coupled with the exchange rate it seems like not a bad time to buy, so I pulled the trigger.  (Oh yeah, and the fact that the current tires on my '66 are now 22 years old!)...

What size and how much.
I'll need narrower ones on the 67.

So you had a 397 SD Convertible and a 'vette when I had my slant 6.  You also got a truckload of TA's that you were able to sell at a profit for a fraction of what I paid for mine.  I'm going to have a beer now...no

Anybody interested in a good set of 255 70 15's for cheap next spring?
They rub the skirts on my Gp.

Yeah, not too bad.  A bargain when compared to TA "redlines" that are 3 times the price for the same tire (except of course the red lineashamed)

They're not giving them away, but they're not a bad price (better than what I have found locally).  Here's the link...

Here's a link for the redline TA's as mentioned. (Considering my last tires were on my car for 20+ years, maybe I can justify paying 3 times as much for redlines?.....Nope.)

Will they ship directly to your address in Canada?  How much will that cost?

Yes they do.  Before you finalize any order there is a spot to get shipping prices by entering your postal code calculating from their nearest warehouse (that has stock) to your city.  In my case from their warehouse in Nevada to Edmonton it is...

$300 for the tires+ $17 fior GST + $16 for Provincial tire fees... all of which are in USD and all of which I would be paying if I purchased locally.

On top of that there is $125 for shipping + $20 for brokerage fees. For a grand total of about $480 USD, or $510 CDN.  (On top of that you will have to install the tires yourself.  In my case I have a buddy that can do it for free.)

In my case $510 is quite a bit less than I could source locally (keeping in mind that $510 translates to an advertised price of about $125 each before taxes.)  They're not giving them away but still...

(Also worth noting that I ordered wheels and tires from them a few years back when the buck was at par and delivery was flawless.  Their quote had included shipping, GST, envirofees and duty.  7 days later my balanced wheels and tires arrived.)

That is pretty good.

For those who live around the GTA, I think I have found the cheapest source for tires at Canadian prices.  I recently bought a BFG Radial T/A as a spare for my car, size 235/70-15, mounted and balanced, all taxes in for $140, so a set would have been $560 installed.

www.tires23.com

Ask for Billy.  I have bought my last 3 or 4 sets of tires from him, for Canadian prices, I have not found anyone cheaper.

Which is good considering my price didn't include PST (as we don't have any). Even more so considering installed (and of course the wild card being the exchange rate as well.  (Depending where you are in Ontario, you could probably even do a road trip and get them installed without shipping, duty etc.)

Sorry, I mis-understood. I thought you bought some and they did not fit so you wanted to sell them in the spring.
