Yes, much later model air cleaner.

Not sure about his claim to it being a big block though. Pretty normal looking Canadian Pontiac small block there.

Looks like a decent deal for a driver.

I think I'll buy it, put in a red interior, and pretend I've finished mine.

it looks pretty good, and reasonably priced.   I know of a similar 70 Parisienne ragtop here in Calgary where the guy wants $9K firm (red with black interior).

Claresholm is an hour south of me if someone wants me to take a run down there and take a look.   I suspect was original 2 bbl, someone added a 4 bbl and used an air cleaner housing from the wreckers - but that's just a guess.

I'd be a little more worried about the driver side rear quarter panel by the looks of the shape of the rear wheel arch

Good eye. Is it the arch or the placement of the moulding?...

I think its the sheet metal. Look closely behind the wheel arch in the 1st pic when you enlarge it.

Looks a little high towards the rear. Should run even with the moulding.

Tin, rivets and cheese, just like most bodyjobs done on these cars 25 years ago.

But it is a relatively rare car.

I agree. A rare car from the west, so it probably has a good frame. If it just needs quarters and front fenders, it's  worth a look.
