Grr! Just had an e-mail in regards to my z-28. A woman named Vera Jackson from New Holland England, Sent me an e-mail saying I have a loan from the bank, send me proof of insurance, then a shipper will be in contact, pay them, money will be returned after the wire transfer has been completed, blah, blah, blah. I haop this individual get's hit by a truck! Some Poor sap will for sure get suckered in by this scam, as 1-2 months later the paperwork catches up, and all of a sudden, YOU are on the hook for a fraudulant loan. Makes me want to swing a sledgehammer at the c*&%$#@$&r's head.furious

  I got the same Email when I had my Denali on KIJIJI....The same name too I think. You know I raced right out and sent the money....NOT!!!!!

I must have received over 60 of these such emails over the past 6 or so years.. it's nuts..
they go right along with the emails from Nigeria or Europe promising money if you help them flee they're country..
good times my friend.

Basically she has a loan for the car. wires cash via a bank draft or certified cheque. the cheque is usually a third party cheque that has been altered,(ie 500$ cheque to 5000$). the cheque will come to you and the bank will cash it. you then release the car. pay the shipper, life is good. Only problem is 1-2 months later the origonal bank finds the altered money order, certified cheque, etc.. you now have no car, and are now legally responsible for the funds that were released on YOUR behalf! Usually the scammer lives abroad, says third party cheque, has a shipper already lined up, blah,blah,blah. If you ever are contacted by this type of response: DELETE IT!! or you will get buggered.gif!!!

Were the emails from gmail accounts? I got several all with worse spelling than mine always the same " is the abuove Item stell foer sale?" One actually told me that car is my dream car. Really ? Its a 94 Sunbird Le thats your dream it doesn't even have a radio. Always someboringplainname@gmail.com
