Quite the little sweetheart alright.  Unfortunately I've run out of dough and my wife's indulgence at the moment.

I have got to stop looking at this part of the forum!

would that likely be a Pontiac 350 or Chev 350?   Maybe someone wants to clone it into a 74 GTO.

In 1974 they were still running Pontiac 350s.

Marketing wanted another Ventura GTO for 1975 but Pontiac was going to run a Buick 350 that year. There is nothing wrong with a Buick 350, but the GTO was proudly Pontiac so the option went away.

I have an Auto Trader ad from around 1984 with a 1974 Ventura Custom 2-door, all stock with a factory 350 4-barrel 4-speed, RTS  (new for '74 Radial Tuned Suspension) & Rally II wheels. I saw the car in person in Dundas, Ontario back then and it was very nice. It was wearing the factory dark brown paint with saddle bucket seats.

It's that old line we've all used, "My Dad had one of these." It had that lovely black white and red upholstery as well. It only had the 250-6cyl. in it but even it was pretty peppy and you certainly couldn't complain about the gas mileage. Back when gas was affordable, $5.00 and you could tour
around just about all night. I've always had a soft spot for the '74 Ventura just because it was the first car I drove legally on the road.
