Hi Jason

Welcome here. I imagine you likely have found out by now that 65 SD trim is a brute to find. You will see in my signature I also have a 65 SD.

I know there is a site member here also looking for peak trim for his SD. That was about a year ago. I don't know if he was successful.

Can you give us details on your car? There is a great place to post info on our car in "Members Rides".

Did you see there is a registry for our cars on this site? Would you be willing to share the info on your cowl (firewall) tag for the registry? You will find it at the top of the page in "General Acadian Discussion".

And can I please, please see pictures of it? Don't worry if it's in a million pieces. You will find many of us here have our cars apart. You will also find the group here very helpful and encouraging.

Oh, and I just noticed that you are asking for trim in the Acadian discussion section. Probably even more exposure to your request if you would post it under Canadian Pontiac Cars/Parts Wanted.

How much are you willing to pay for trim? I know of a complete 65 Acadian Canso SD with every piece of trim intact but the body is a complete basket case (Rust). The owner knows how rare the car is and won't budge on his price. I have tried to buy the car just for the trim but the price is too much for me. Last time I looked, it is still for sale $5500.

Good plan. I won't do it tonight but I can scan the page out of the GM parts book that shows all the exterior trim.

No, he means for the whole car but I think the trim is pretty much all there on it.

Carl,
I can't believe you let Mike talk about your car like that... I'll give you the $5500 already!

rofl.gif   You had your chance at it for $6500 a while back, what was that, about 2001-2002 for $6500. Your loss. Now the $6500 has a 1 in front of it, and even then I doubt it.

I still cannot believe that no one took you up on your price back then...me included!!! The funny part is that it had the 427 in it at the time....duhhhhh! I need to give my head a good shake sometimes.no

You get the whole car for that price but the only thing I saw of value was the trim.

Can you give me an idea of what kind of interior pictures you need? I have a 65 SD with original interior.

We have front and rear peak moldings, but they're in rough shape.  I've been trying to locate someone who may be able to fix these ones or bend new ones for us.  Had a contact in Shelburne, ON but that number is no longer valid  :c(

Car is currently being painted in Hensall, ON

Wasn't able to attach images saved from email.

If the gentleman you refer to is Fred, then know he has relocated to Hanover. He advertises in Old Autos.
