A 4-door cut and spliced - this used to be semi-popular with 55-57 Chevy station wagons - they looked much better than this one, not so disproportioned. Never had a chance to drive one to see what that short wheelbase did to handling. It is close to the Jeep CJ-5 (83.5 inches) - I had a 77 CJ-7 (longer wheelbase) and I was always careful when cornering, kind of tippy (but probably higher than this 57).

I agree with you John. I have seen several 55-57 Chevs done like this and didn't like them at all.

You have to respect the amount of work that goes into this even if it turned out ugly and drives like a rabid squirrel.

UGGGGLY but I'm sure it took many hour to build. If no one ever tried some thing different we would still be riding in horse and buggies. I'm sure there is people out there that love just not me.
