Is that a dealer nameplate on the tailgate?
Might someone be able to blow it up?

Big Boss,  I have a dealer brochure for the 64 Acadians and I will check it for a picture of the mouldings you are missing.  I don't use a scanner so the best I may be able to do is take a picture of the brochure picture.  I'm sure the Canso had side mouldings but I'm not sure about the tailgate.  We see that the wagons used a Nova taillight rather than an Acadian taillight but I wonder if your tailgate has been replaced with one from a Nova.  The Acadian's did not have cove moulding around the taillights and across the top of the trunk lid.  The Nova's did have cove mouldings, one piece on each quarter and a long piece across the top.  It appears your taillight surrounds are solid, showing no signs of a moulding.  Where the tailgate raised or "cove" line has holes for the moulding clips.  That would be correct for a Nova but I'm not sure about an Acadian.  Hopfully the brochure will answer that question.
Norm

okay i finally broke down and loaded the software for my scanner

these are the pages that you need.

on a side note i stripped a 64 canso a couple of years ago and either i have some of the trim in the attic of the shop or i gave it to gus to sell. the attic of the shop is limited access till spring. its friggin cold up there.

I just had time to glance at the sales brochure before leaving for the holidays.  The one picture of the rear of a wagon shows it with the tailgate down, so you cannot see the face of the gate.  Steve's parts breakdown does indicate no trim across the tailgate, just the rear diecast emblem.
I have a set of the #16 tailgate window mouldings if anyone is in need of them.

Steve,  if you still have the lower mouldings #15 from Jackson's I would still like to get them from you.

Somebody didn't hear me when i said it was cold up in the attic. Well Norm i still have the #15 trim. Its the only extra trim i didn't give to Gus to sell. Wanna wait till spring and i do another road trip so we can square up.

That would be great.  I have started hauling antiques & classics again with the addition of my (new to me) ramp truck.  I have booked several jobs on Uship.com but now I'm in Indy visiting the kids for Xmas.
I will be in Florida from Jan.-April and I will hit the road again when I return to Michigan.  Very good possibility we could meet up somewhere in between your place and mine.
Since when does a little cold stop a born and bred Canadian from his appointed mission.  I thought you guys had antifreeze in your viens.  BTW, in case you didn't know, heat rises, so light the stove and the attic will be very comfortable.   We will have the laptop in Florida, so we will be talking and I hope to see you in the spring.

Hi again and thanks for the positive response.
I think the tailgate is from a Nova, acording to the guy who ovned the car beföre me.
It have some holes but the fenders (is it the correct name), please excause the bad English,
have not the the holes, so perhaps there wasent any moldings on it.
Acording to the aircleaneer its a Pontiac Hubcap. that i thing fits very well on the car-
Thanks once again for your responce,.
I will put up some more pictures later.
Does anyone knows how many cars of my modell they made?-

yours is the first 64 canso wagon that i've seen. there are 2 63 beaumont wagons on this site. one 65 canso wagon that is on this site occasionally, lives near me. and one 65 invader wagon in a wrecking yard that i know about. carl know of a couple more. for info sake, mine the black 63 beaumont wagon is one of 762. we only get the info from GM Canada if somebody own one.

Happy days are here again, a while ago when i was on a local speedshop, a guy came and asked if was the owner to a -64 Acadian Wagon.
I told him that i was, and he said that he had som mouldings to my car.
He had bought an -64 Nova abaout 25 years ago and the mouldings was including in the deal, .
I couldnt belive it was true, but when he came with tho mouldings it was the real deal.
So now in the proud owner of a Acadian and the  the mouldings will soon be on the side of the car.
