Couldn't restore one for that, and this one is nicer than restored if that is all original and true mileage.

Todd, don't even think it.

Don't tell Ray shh.gif , but I still think a 60's Canadian Poncho will always be more desirable than a 70's Canadian Poncho!

Oh, that sounds harsh. I better ad, I do like the 70's as well, just the 60's are more my style!

I agree Carl, no worries there. What makes this Cup Car so desireable is it's pristine condition, also indicates it has the 350 4bbl, which is a good option. most had the 2bbl I believe and only a handful had the 400.

Hey,you're right. I saw all the vents and just thought it had a/c. Now I look at the control after you say that and sure enough, that is a regular heater control.

Wait a minute, just realized that his car has a huge rare "option" on it. No rear quarter louvers, it got the formal roof and quarter window. 99% of Sport Coupes came with louvers but a little known fact was that either the opera window or louvers were standard at the customers request starting in '74.  So this is a rare car indeed, first by the Canada Cup GT option and then with the formal roof. WOW.

Dash layout is virtually identical to my 73. The lever on teh drivers side operates teh Upper Ventilation system that blows through the vent openings in the dash. It works really well.

your right-the 60's thing stuck-I see so many other decade vintage cars that are great survivors and first they don't bring a fraction of the dollars a 60's project does and second don't have a fraction of the interest at shows/cruises-don't get me wrong I like it-I like the condition-I'm a firm believer of buying the best quality car you can buy with your budget if that means moving to another decade so be it-just stating facts.

Really Ray? I was working at the Pontiac dealer in 75 when these were sold. I think we sold one like this. At one point, I had a picture of it somewhere. Now I wonder where that pic is.......

An engine shot would have been nice. Ken, what do you think this car is worth? It's so hard to put a value on Canadian Pontiacs.

Is it implied the 15,000 miles is correct?    If it is, the car would be worth 10G  (2 cents)

 honestly ?

I know people don't like to hear honest-

no offense the car is nice-as good as it gets for one of these probably

opinion-its a struggle to get $10 k for

a guy local bought a similar vintage GP in similar condition a few years back @ $8 k I seen he had it advertised this past summer @6500-I know I know different car but near half the "opinion" price.

I hope the guy gets teens for it-he deserves it-its quite the find-but honestly-I doubt it.

I would like to ad these are opinions (personal) not related in anyway to my business-it is quite possible for vehicles to sell at higher or lower than market prices at any given time depending on the buyer and sellers situation-it is also extremely difficult to estimate the actual value of anything without actually seeing it

I agree with Ken. Real world prices, that means with " cash in hand sale" are not common on un- common cars. It is very difficult to get a real offer on a "classic car" right now.

I agree with Ken.  Very interesting car in what looks to be very good condition, but as we have said before, what is the demand for this car?  Very small as very few people will appreciate it's significance and those that do either have no cash or are unwilling to spend it.  Quite frankly, why should they?  People in this hobby (especially on this side of border) buy cars primarily if they are a "good buy", and they rarely pay any premium for "historical significance".  If this car was run through at B-J, would it get any more than a standard 75 Lemans in the same condition?  Not likely.

The plates on it are brand new, meaning he recently licenced it.  I wonder if that means it had been sitting for many years and/or he just bought it recently to flip?

flip ? flip is not relevent

buying for a good deal as stated is to be ahead of the market in equity is the same like flipping without cashing out.

I was just thinking-its in great condition (survivor) much better buy than purchasing a patched up car that more mainsteam at a similar price-but it doesn't seem to matter as soon as you get slightly off the beaten path the interest falls-

I think the Canada Cup is interesting as is the low miles/survivor condition-shame its not worth more dollars.

as for the possible flipper-I think its great these guys search out this stuff then get it in the mainstream for sale-likely the original owner's would have no idea where to market the car to the right people-its likely going to be part of our great hobby now.

absolutely relevant.  flippers = ticket scalpers, add no value, just trying to interject their "profit margin".  car would have much better chance of going to new owner priced realistically, here probably about $10K as discussed.  hobbyists know what the car is worth and won't pay scalper's premium.

not true.  car is in excellent shape, it wasn't going to the crusher.  search out, not likely, just first to spot ad in local paper, they were just lucky, that's it.  what did they do then, post a couple of ads?  yeah, that's sure worth $7,500.

yet when we ask for value we quote BJ or any other auction which is actually a dealer charging a fee to flip the car

Find us a similar Quebec market car in this condition then we can talk, Blue with White trim and Fleur de lise instead of Maple Leaf.
