No problem Ken. With the CP knowlege you have, and with the cars you come across you really ought to know.

- When your on the kijij page that shows the car or item, look at the top, or in the address window...wherever you might find it on your desktop.
Heres the address that you'll see. It'll always start with the http://. http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-1965-Pontiac-Parissienne-W0QQAdIdZ176461391

Double Left mouse click on that address on the original page and cause it to highlight. Right mouse click on the highlighted text, and select copy from the small drop down window thet appears.

Go back to the CP "Reply" or new topic window.

Type a word or anything on the page, like "65" as I did.

Highlight that 65 you just typed with a Double left mouse click and a little unbroken chain link icon on the reply toolbar above will light. Left Click on that link icon.

A new small window will appear. Left click in that upper text window (link URL).

Right click now makes a small window appear. Left click on the "Paste" in that link URL window.

The original address will be pasted into that link URL box. Click the "insert" button.

To test, Click "show preview" below the working text box.

Click on the "65" that shows up at the far bottom to check to see if you've created an active link. It should direct you to the kijiji page. If yes, Click your return button to bring you back to to the CP reply page. Click "clear preview".

Click "submit post"

The best way to work with this is to double left click then right and copy to all above. Go to the reply page and paste all this into it. You can practice while having these instructions right in front of you. Use the CP URL on the page as the test address.

Clear as mud eh! Might seem complex, and someone probably has a easier way. Give it a try and it'll become second nature after a while.

I still don't know how to paste the original ad up like 427Carl does!

I'm glad it makes sense. It just looks way too complicated on paper doesn't it!
Your way might just be a little quicker, I've always thought the full URL to look like a bunch of gibberish when viewed on a page.

Cheers, Mark

Anyway, I'd love to see the frame on this 65. It does at least sit nice.
It's really just minutes away from my work. I might check it for fun.
The guy sounds like he's not trumping the thing up in any way, which is nice.

last time I heard a guy advertise a car with that description it was a silver 71 Z28 in Burlington-I didn't bother to go see it-it showed up local that weekend-incredible buy ! Now I doubt that'll happen here-but like ya said its good to hear the honesty-I assume he doesn't want to waste his time with a bunch of guys looking for a frame off restored car for the price.

It looks like a driver, priced like a driver, and described like a driver. He will still have a hard time selling it. Does anyone know if the other 65 convert. in Stoney Creek sold last week?
