55 buick frame fit under my 50 pontiac?


hey everybody hope you all had a merry christmas and happy new year,im still  plugging away on my 50 pontiac fleetleader.i have an opportunity to get a very good 55 buicl special 2 door frame and suspension,does anybody know if it will bolt to my 50 pontiac four door?it looks very similar  but i havent done any measurements yet.thanks for any info!!

Hello, if you are looking for a little more modern ride, here are a couple of ways.  #1 You could adapt/purchase a rack and pinion set up, coil overs etc.  Or #2. if you are handy and on a budget you could consider "clipping" the front frame section. You may already know what this means. I think the 79 Cutlass, Malibu etc are good donors and have an acceptable width. Keep in mind if you do decide to pick up a junker for the frame clip you can also use the diff and brake system. Any replacement parts for the donor car can be bought at any NAPA store. This isn't that complicated but you will have to adapt/make a rad support, front bumper brackets and so on.  Like I stated, if you're handy and on a budget "clipping" is not a bad option. Just my two cents worth!!  Good luck.

          Good advice!   My buddy used a Malibu front end on his 48
Ford pickup and 49 Ford panel    100 bucks for the clips     I did the same(S10clip) for my Sunbird...
