Ray, I was talking to a long time friend in Toronto a few days ago. He watches CNN & said that there has no mention of Canada at all on the relief work in Haiti!!! They listed the country's that were involved, but no mention of Canada at all, Typical US reporting!!!

Yes, sad, we have as many military personal on the ground than the US, 3 Naval vessels with Sea Kings, 8 Griffons, 4 water purification plants on the ground, a field hospital. At last count our Military had made in excess of 24 flights airlifting supplies of water and food etc...We get the daily reports by e-mail from Ottawa, I have not shared them because they go direct to the NGO communities, they are not marked as Classified but we keep them to ourselves.
Sometimes I think it is a complete oversight with the US, almost like they don't think of us a foreign country so they forget. On the other hand I did hear the former Police Chief of New York City say that there are only two countries Haiti can Rely on, USA and Canada, so some people know.
