It's always a treat to get members from far off places we wouldn't normally expect to see Canadian Pontiacs. But it's proven that they have made their way to all four corners!
Nice Parisienne, love the air horns peeking out of the valance! For clearing the roads ahead of the big CP?
Cheers, Mark.

Add another big welcome. Great to see that our cars are finding their way around the globe and that they are being recognized as Canadian only. Are there many older American and Canadian cars in the Philippines?
-the weather here is uo and down. last fewe weeks we had near ICE-age! low temp. daown to 21 degrees C. brrr!
-the carpets inside are from the warehaouse. looking like expensif, but are very affordable.
-the 2 horns below the drivers beammers was isntal;led by the previous owner. it's a truck horn. he used a divin-tank for the pressure. I let them there, even not working. I installed now a 2 souend pressure-horn.
-the AC-Aelco radio is still working. but for me I added a CD-soundsystem.
-They added a aircon. condenser mitsubishi, compressor toyota. I removed now the aircon, coz the radiator was covering the engine-radiotor. the car is getting too hot. one additional fan is helping me, when driving wqith low RPM's.
-The interieur has now blue lights.
-a miracle: I found in a small shop in the small city og Tagbilaran 1 oilfilter. next time I have planned to cionstruct a adaptor for it.
-The car is model 1969, with straight six-engine.
-in the Philippines, the HORN, the BRAKES, and the4 steering are very important. thats why i installed a push-botton for the headlights. It's a signal, if you overtake another.
-tires: now i use goodyear 195/70 R14. my plan: 225 size!
-we changed all the pushings, rubbercups, many bearings, 2 shockabsorbers.
-beside mey HUMMER H1(made in Phils), my Volkswagen Buggy, now the Pontiac is the most photographed car on the island.
-the pontiac has now 86 000 km. He3 was ownde by Ger neral milling as CEO-Transporter., then by a german vintage-car lover.
-Assembled was the car by the company "autivo" in Manila.
I hope, that my informations will enjoy You.
please accept, that Swiss guy's make mistakes in english-writing! thanks.
Welcome from Saskatchewan!!! Where it just dumped over a foot of snow in less than 2 days and now we are sitting at a balmy - (minus) 22 degrees C!!! Went for a 20 mile hike on the sled tonight, just the right temperature for snowmobiling.....
it's a MICHELIN. I got 4 new tires together with the car. but, 2 of them are already exploding. maybe aoverage? anyway, they are already replaced. now 2 michelin left as spare.
for our possible speed here in bohol, ot's not a big prpblem. ( 60 -80kmh/h). the roads are small, the traffic typically "pinoy-style".
sorry for your cold in cdn. maybe that's why, more and more canadien are spending time in the phils.
take care
hanspeter
hanspeter,
No need to feel sorry to me about the cold! I am one of those true Canadians who appreciates the change in seasons and what it brings for different things you can do in them! We needed the snow for snowmobiling and it is now here and the lower temps are great for that...... Dress up and go!!!

thanks for your offer. right now, I don't know yet exactly how to do this in Your forum. the original papers are still in the registration in cebu. please give me instructions, what You need for this You offered me.
I'm happy, that You and some of Your friends like our beauty!
by the way: This Parisienne is my 1. Canadien Car. in my whole life I had about 40 US-Cars. From Nash Rambler Ambassador up to my last Pontiac Trans AM GTA with 380 hp.
Inside the Engine department is a Plaquette with yhe name aof the assembler in manila: YUTIVO Company. my reserches said, that during the regime of Ferdinand Marcos, This Car was imported and assembled in Manila. looks like today, when they import half-finished cars an assemble them in the country, to undergo high taxes.
hi thank You for the explination. now it's clear. my problem is, that i have only a usd account, and a PhP account. to send 5 cdn dollar, will not be so easy.
question: is there maybe a canadien, who has a plan to visti our island bohol? It could be a easy way to get the sticker, and to pay him.
i will ask also now some canadien, living here, if they are willing to shoulder this amount and transfer it to you.
