Welcome from the USA. I feel for you. Your wife may never "get it". My wife won't talk to me about the day I brought my 57 Laurentian home without her "permission". I thought her attitude would pass but 5 years later I still don't bring up that day. biggrinbiggrin

In my house the cold shoulder has never lasted for more than a year for any specific incident. Occasionally I have managed to go more than a year without  new incident being added. It's still easier to get forgiveness rather than permission.

Yah, up north is a relative kind of thing. I used to say I lived in Northern Ontario which to Toronto folk is way, way up north. Funny thing though. I was 20 miles south of the 49th parallel which of course is the Canada/US border across the praries.
norontcan = northern ontario canada

You need a vacuum gauge?

I don't have one but I think I can connect you with someone who does. PM me if so.
