Help documenting a 63 B body with factory air

In looking at the 63 B body assembly manual on microfiche tonight I remembered the letter I have talked about on here in the past. It's a GM memo discussing the installation of A/C on a 63. It appears to be the R & D unit they are talking about.

I will post the best shot I could get of the microfiche screen showing the memo. Our son and I spent a good 1/2 hour trying to snap a shot of it!

It says it's for A.T. Cain's Pontiac. I'd love to know if A.T. was a GM employee or why he was so special.

Thats amazing!   Where do you get this stuff Carl?   So 1 factory AC in 63, none in 64, none in 65 and officially offered as an RPO option in 66 as i understand my 66brochure.

Is that correct?

I thought it was pretty cool too.

I got many many years of assembly manuals on microfiche from a friend working for General Motors in Winnipeg. This was about 10 years ago I'd say. They were cleaning up. This stuff was headed for the trash if you can believe it... He intercepted it and told them he knew of a good home for it. I have most of the assembly manuals on fiche from about 60'ish to the middle/later 80's.

And I have no printer to get it onto paper, sadly...
