Oh Ya, 6th  best team against 27th and the great Luongo gets chased from the net. Three guys win that game. Alex Burrows is the best player on that team and nobody gives the guy any credit, I love him! BUT three guys and a goalie who sometimes gets it done won't bring Stanley to Vancouver any time soon.

Did I say ZERO Stanley Cups enough?

Ah Lou needed a rest after playing so many in a row, was also nice to see Raycroft give the crowd a show, LOL. Yup the triplets do quite well together, I must admit.

At least they don't wear jerseys that are an embarassment to our national game any more. No one team has done as much disservice to hockey jerseys as the Canned Yuks.

Raycroft is an emotional basket case. He stops 8 shots and skates around like he just escaped from Penetang Mental Hospital. Rookie of the Year to a guy who hasn't played in 35 games........

There's a reason why the ORIGINAL SIX don't mess with the jerseys, they just happen to be some of ths best teams ever and don't have to continually change jerseys to make a little extra coin to keep the franchise a float. Even the original hockey stick on TV screen was a joke no.gif

They used to be the best when there was only 6 teams in the league, but now things have changed. The players that used to be on those 6 teams are spread out more.

I'm just joking around. That was an impressive display by the Twins and Burrows.  thumbsup.gif

I'll post season stats for the past 17 years, you will see that the Leafs have gone as far to the 3rd round 4 times and 2nd round 7. It's a pretty good record. Better than most teams. We know the rest of the country hates Toronto, it just one of the ways they get to vent on us.

Just got home and saw the highlights, sort of interesting. I chuckle how we all can play with statistics. It's a great part of sports. To me getting to the second or third round doesn't make a whole lot of difference but getting to the Cup final a couple times was memorable for Vancouver especially when bowing out in a great game 7 against the Rangers. I don't remember the Leafs in the finals for the last 40 years or so but my memory really isn't very good anyhow. I don't get too serious about it, I just love the game.
