I never thought there was a difference between the chevelle and Beaumont.. but there is. the Beaumont only drops as far as the bottom of the rocker chrome.
if you look close at the Beaumont ad from Mcleans magazine in 65, the one with the blue SD in front of a hotel, you can see that both the front and back WW trim is only to the rocker chrome.
the guy with this car replaced the rear ones with chevelle ones, but had NOS ones for the front.
checkout the factory photos or promos.. it's wild.. after all this time I never noticed until last year.
