Looking for a factory original 73 lemans/gto/grand am radio in good working order and in great original condition/shape. Preferred AM/FM Sterio 8-track radio.
Does anyone have a part number to what I am looking for???
Would settle for just an AM/FM Sterio radio. Does anyone know this part number as well???
Currently I have an AM 8-track, however the 8-track does not work and the use of just "AM" sucks beyond belief. I cannot go another year with just listening to AM news. Not good for cruising and I think it may make me go postle.
If there is anyone out there that can help it would be appreciated.

Pascal; That is pretty much the same unit that I currently have. It is AM 8 track Sterio only. Thanks for posting, but I will have to pass on this one. Thanks for your effort.
I didn't even notice mine didn't have the FM, good luck in your search, I hope you find a nice unit for your beautiful GTO... I could ask my buddy in Alberta if you want me to, he specializes in these A body 1973-75 GA-Lemans-GTO...
Here is another alternative for your AM radio. I have the same original AM 8-track stereo in my LeMans GT. The 8-track player does not work, but the AM radio works fine.
For Christmas, my wife bought me a RediRad radio adapter to hide under the dash. It works like the old FM converters where the box is wired in the antenna circuit and has a standard 1/8" audio plug that plugs into a portable CD, MP3, iPod, or FM radio. You tune your AM radio to a certain frequency and you can listen to your own tunes.
I also got a small 2GB MP3 player that will hold around 1000 songs for less than $20. Load up the MP3 and hide it in your glove box.
I haven't installed it yet because my car is in storage, but have heard from others that it is a great alternative to changing out the radio. I'm looking forward to see how it works.
