1958 Pontiac Parisienne, 2 dr, For Sale

This is not my car, but it is located about 50 miles from where I'm staying in Florida.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RARE-1958-PONTIAC-PARISIENNE-2DR-HDTP-CDN-BONNEVILLE_W0QQitemZ370334185836QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item5639a3396c

My error, I guess I should pay more attention to the market but then 1958 is not really my main area of interest.
Just trying to help,  Norm

I have been running this car for sale in the Astro News Flash since July 2009. The owner is a member of the Canadian Pontiac Specialty Chapter - POCI.

This car has been on eBay for about 2 months now. He keeps re-listing it. First auction was true bidding ( with a reserve ) but generated little interest - atleast up near where his reserve was. He then changed tactics and went to buy it now.
About 1 year ago it was on eBay but out of a small town near Edmonton.
Suspect he is a dealer who bought the car on speculation and is now having trouble flipping it at his elevated price.
Wish I had gone to see it last year.

The car came from a dealer out west Ed's project cars. He was asking in the $9000 CDN range, which was probably a good buy. At the time (and still) I was trying to sell my 79 T/A to raise the money to buy it. But I'm not going to lose a bunch of money on a finished car to buy a project, no matter how rare. I still want it, just not in the budget right now, dangit!!!

The current owner told me it is from an estate sale in Edmonton.

If you look at the blown up pic of the front fender you can see why it was only $9000 last year. It does have some rust repair & repaint done in the past. But I doubt there is any left that haven't had rust out repairs, they are Canadian, eh? This is one of my favorites of all the CP's.
58 Impala's have always been another of mine, but mainly because it's so hard to find a Parisienne.

It just so happens, a gentleman I know down here has a 58 for sale but it is a Del Ray 2 dr sedan.  It is a beautifully done car in two tone red and white.  It has a 355 SBC with two 4's, bench seat car.  Absolutely gorgeous car to look at and done right no corners cut on this one.  He is asking $28k.  I told him I thought it needed a BBC for that kind of money.  I don't have any pictures but I can get them.
He also has a 50 Ford Woody for sale that again has had a top notch total restoration done on it.  All the wood and paint is done but I cannot remember the rest of the story, only saw a pictures of this one.
Another gentleman I know, has a 1960 Impala two door hardtop in Red, lowered and styled in a 50's theme.  Continental kit with pro lettering on the tire that says "Dream Maker" I think.   I know it is not dream weaver as that is what I thought it was going to say prior to seeing the car in person.  Don't have a price on this one, just saw the for sale sign in the window at the last cruise in.
