Is there anyway a payment system be set up?    So that , the stuff could be bought and sold smoothly..
If you have 1400 memebers wanting to buy thousands of parts, its going to be a BIG JOB      I was thinking of Pay Pal....   Its fast and immediate.....

I am sure there are "1400" ways to do it right?
With thousands of parts, you will get  hundreds of  request for specific parts...

If you list everything through Kijiji the ads are free, and folks can communicate by e-mail for free...  (your e-mail box will fill in minutes) ...   or you can go E-bay...

You will have to give up, your day job, to do it in a swift way.....
Its like eating a Elephant 1 bite at a time
YOU may want to set up a separte e-mail for requests, as you will get many request for specific parts in specific condition
This is not like parting out 1 car.....

You will get request like this....eg.  "do you have a "red" glove box door, for a 68SD with no scratches, and could you send me a picture? and nothing over $20.00"  lol

Good luck      Just list what you have readysmile    and let the rumble begin!

I was thinking the same thing Carl !!,, I 'm sure if you sort through that pile of trim, there is a set of 68 SD side mouldings in there!!!

my list would start like this ....

68 grill bezels /surrounds
68 headlight bezels R/L
68 uncut dash
68 taillight bezels
68 SD side mouldings
68/69 BB hood vents.

WE all appreciate the effort and time you are going to put into helping out the community, it is a huge endevour. I ship enough stuff to know that it takes time. Don't forget to factor in the cost of boxes , tape, and some of your time into the prices.

You can check postal rates online with Canada Post. Set your self up with a Venture One account , it's a 10% savings in shipping. The online calculator is pretty close. There is a size and weight restriction with postal. Bigger stuff works good sending on the BUS collect. no hassle that way, buyer pays shipping at his end. There are online calcs for them too.

The paypal account is painless, just realize that they take there cut 6% I believe,, it may be more now.

The group as a whole will be extremely patient realizing you are doing this as a favour to all.

We thank YOU !!

eg.  "do you have a "red" glove box door, for a 68 SD with no scratches, and could you send me a picture? and nothing over $20.00"  lol    sarcasm sarcasm
THIS WAS SARCASM!!!!!!!confuse

You will get many lists of "specific parts" Wanted, and you won't be able to "dig" through parts and" fill" the orders, unless you get paid very well, by the owner to do it   or quit your job and do it for free

Paul, I appreciate your eagerness to have every 64 and 65 Beaumont parts car in the country but just remember there are some of us small players who just need a piece here or there to make our 1 car complete.  That also brings us quite a bit of satisfaction as compared to you saying you've got 25 cars and nobody will probably be able to get a piece from you.  It doesn't hurt to spread something like this around.  Let people request their needs and maybe not their wants.

You may want to get a list of everything first and categorize it by year. Then you can post your listings on here and can put *SOLD* next to each item as they sell. I'd specify Paypal only as it's easy to track your sales and makes your life a lot easier. Getting a money order 2 weeks after a sale can get confusing, esp if the buyer doesn't specify what they bought!

This will keep you busy!!

I spread tons of unrelated parts to my projects around, just not 64-65 stuff. I would gladly trade you 64 SD rocker chrome if you could find me a set of 65 SD ones. As far as I know there is very little 64-65 stuff so that's why I said such a bold statement. I talked to this fellow personally before and he said he had no 64- 65 SD stuff. I was just hoping he was holding out and he would let a set of 65 Beaumont SD rocker chrome go. There will be a day when I no longer will build another car and then the 64-65 parts will flow. By the way this my hobby and I consider myself a minor player but thanks for the compliment.

P.S What would you need for your car? It looks complete?

Don't really need anything for my car now but I do get alot of requests from little guys like me looking for a piece here and there so it's always rewarding for me if I can help them out because I've definetely been there.

-bright blue seatbelts
-tach

That's about it...

I don't know why your singling me out but it's not called for. Of all the parts cars I bought ask me how many full sets of trim I have? People don't ask for 10 bolts, or door winders, or general parts. People ask me for rare stuff like sd emblems or rocker chrome, or eyebrows, or acadian letters. I'm sorry it's to hard to find and I barely have what I need. It's not for sale. You must be having a ruff week but don't take it out on me. You sell parts just like the rest of us to further your hobby.

Thx, I've seen those there for a while.  I've assumed that they don't have the lenses nor the chrome, but I'll ask.
thx again...

Well a couple things.  First of all it hasn't been a rough week, everything is fine.  Secondlly the reply I made to you isn't a personal attack on you but I would have made it to anyone who went on here and said what you did.  Take a minute and listen to this.  Maybe one of the biggest Beaumont collections of parts in Canada comes available.  One of the first guys who may have read the thread comes on and says I'll take all the 68 stuff.  I guess all the rest of us should be happy for him.  Just maybe someone on this site might need a couple 68 items.  He might want a chance for them too.  We aren't talking price here, we are just talking about having a chance at them.  I was lucky with my car, my SD trim was all there and in quite nice condition.  The only trim I was missing was my front trim on my hood but any old 64 has them so I eventually found them.  I had trouble finding little parts though like an e brake, grill support, speaker brackets, and a few other things that every 64 Beaumont has but if you don't have connections they can be a pain to find.  By the way I sell very few parts because I don't have much extra to sell.  Alot are parts I got that weren't correct or are for my old friend who doesn't have a computer and I'm just happy to do it for him for no charge.  Anyhow nothing personal but sometimes you have to look at it from someone else's eyes too.
