yes-I used to own it

it was on the Barrie flea market field prior to me came there via Verdun, Quebec

GLS Larry Shackleton bought it

sold it to Woodbridge-was at Chevy fest for sale again

then to Milton/Acton-got painted

then to me (I had it about a year)-sold it when I bought my 65 corvette

sold it to Ancaster

traded in at Legendary

then off to the states I guess

I e-mailed him via E-Bay-same V.I.N. nice guy has a 66 convertible custom also

this car had a lot of original paperwork-52,000 on the odometer (not working) (CE block) good car-I seen it with its original paint

Barry-you would have bought the car in the fall of 1999 and sold it to me in the fall of 2000. The car was at the Barrie flea market in the spring of 1999-A guy from a Quebec bodyshop brought it down for the original owner in Verdun. Larry Shackleton bought it at the Barrie sale while I pondered the CE block-Larry sold it the next day to the guy from Woodbridge that you bought it from-he cleaned it up a little (tires, W/moldings, carpet, parcel shelf etc...)

My English is not perfect...I have a hard time following you! What is a CE Block? Also, where can I the info to know what are the options #'s on the Tag?
I will receive the car next week, and all the documentations that came with. I know the last owner but he doesn't know where can we get a decoder book(or website) of all available options.

I t was written by 67BBSD..  and it seems, He was going to buy it, buy hesitated because it was a "CE block"  which I think meant "replacement engine"

He hesitated(thought about it=pondered) and the ohter fellow bought it!!      A lot of early "big block" cars were "run hard" and often need a replacement engine  and they were called CE engines

A CE block is a replacement engine. CE stands for Chevrolet Engine. Usually they are warranty replacements but not always. You can contact George Zapora at GM of Canada and for a fee they will send you an info packet on your car. It will tell build and shipping dates, selling dealer, all options the car left the factory with and other info. I don't have the contact info but I'm sure someone from this site can post it for you. This car was talked about on here before the auction.

CE" or Crate engine information: CE123456
CE
123456

Crate Engine

Serial Number

Another type of stamping found on some blocks is the "CE" code. You might see something like this "CE123456" on the front pad of the block deck on the passenger side. The "CE" which has been known to stand for "Chevrolet Engine" or "Crate Engine" was used on blocks that were warranty replacement motors. The "CE" prefix was also used on "over the counter" blocks and engines. If a customer had problems with their original engine, while it was under warranty, it would have been replaced with an engine that was stamped "CE" with a number following it. The number following the "CE" code was the serial number for that particular engine. Also if someone purchased a new motor from the Chevrolet Parts counter, the front pad on the passenger side of the block may have been stamped with a "CE" code.
