64 Canso hrdtp/ ex race car $2500

This old race car just came out of 15 year barn storage and is sitting at a friends place. He was going to get it back together, but you know how that goes.He has a 283 with the right oil pan for this car. Cowl is decent, underneath not too bad. Needs lots of resto work. $2500. E-mail me at eeluddy@sympatico.ca and I will get you contact info.64canso 003.jpg64canso 004.jpg64canso 005.jpg64canso 007.jpg64canso 010.jpg

Are you sure on the 64 part? It appears to have a 65 grille.

I think it's a 65 also, but the owner said he will have to dig up the registration to be sure, so I'm just going on what he told me. It was metallic brown. Same as the burnt one you have Carl.

A rear view would tell the story (tail light panel is unique on 65)

Looks like a bit of a project but it doesn't look rotten like some of them do.

It almost looks like a light housing in the trunk lid as well. If so, then it would be a 65. Tough call, you are right.

So far, the only thing that makes it an Acadian is the grille and the radio. The gauges are Nova and there is no Acadian trim. The rear wheel openings are really special!no

Well, either I forgot or never knew. You are correct, no hardtop in 64.

Again I learn from this place!

I was with Earl when he took the pics today. The car needs a lot of work however I've seen worse. The floors arent bad. There's been a hole cut for a 4 speed. The rear quarters are toast. It would be cool with a straight axle!

Does it still have the pedals in it for a four speed? A friend of mine is looking for a four speed nova or acadian.

Yes I think it still has the clutch pedals, but I won't be able to see until later this week.
